MINRO STIR PRO NOZZLES
for Coreless Induction Melting
November 10, 2006
Allied Mineral Products
introduces its Minro Stir Pro Nozzles for injecting inert gas in
induction furnaces. Minro Stir Pro Nozzles represent 20 years of
gas stirring technology. The patent pending design of our Minro Stir
Pro Nozzle results in better gas dispersion and more efficient
bubbling. Other deliverable benefits include the following:
Homogenization of
alloys and temperature
Floatation
of nonmetallic inclusions (oxides, sulfides, nitrides) for cleaner metal
quality
Assistance
in dissolved gas removal from metal
Minro Stir Pro Nozzles
are available in a variety of sizes, including 4.0”, 3.5”, 3.0”, 2.5”,
2.0” and 1.5” nozzle heights. The nozzles are designed to be installed
below the refractory floor surface in an induction furnace lined with
Allied’s Dri-Vibe® refractory material. The porosity and permeability of
Allied’s specially designed Dri-Vibe® lining materials allows the inert
argon gas to permeate through the refractory and into the molten metal
bath at a controlled rate.
The design technology
built into our Dri-Vibe® refractory allows for use with imported diffusers
as well.
