TUFFCRETE Family of Refractories.
The TUFFCRETE family of
refractory products is a series of low-cement castables specifically
designed to be installed by shotcreting but also fully capable of being
pumped, vibration-cast or self-leveled behind forms. The initial focus
for sales has been the industrial market with emphasis on the wood product
boiler, cement kiln, incineration and power industries. However, the ease
of installation combined with the low cement level, low porosity, high
strength and good abrasion resistance make these products good candidates
for a wide variety of applications beyond this industrial market. The
TUFFCRETE family of products has been designed specifically with the
contractor in mind to be user-friendly with minimal rebound, low water
demand, extended working time for stress free pumping plus ample time for
trimming after shotcreting.
The

containment have led to the development of the most stringent quality
control system in the industry. This translates into an ability to
manufacture a pumpable, shotcretable product line, TUFFCRETE, that is
rapidly becoming the industry standard in shotcretability and performance
in the industrial markets.
The
TUFFCRETE family is a full line of castables ranging from 45% alumina to
90% alumina but also includes products with fused silica, silicon carbide
and fused AZS grains for specific high wear and/or highly corrosive
environments. Allied is confident a TUFFCRETE product is available to meet
each customer’s individual needs.
