Microporous Insulation

Allied Mineral Products, Inc., carries a wide range of ELMTHERM microporous insulation board products.

ELMTHERM 1000 S is a pressed board product available in a 7mm, 12.5mm and 25mm thickness. Each board is enclosed with a poly moisture barrier which allows refractory castables or shotcrete products to be installed against it.

ELMTHERM 1000 MP is identical to ELMTHERM 1000S and contains a layer of phlogopite mica to enhance flexural strength. ELMTHERM MP is available in a 5mm, 7mm, 12.5mm and 25mm thickness. Applications include steel teeming ladles and any refractory-lined vessel where heat loss must be minimized.
