Working Lining

MINRO-SIL®

MINRO-SIL, the first US domestic dry rammed silica manufactured with pre-blended binder, was introduced to the foundry industry over 45 years ago. Improvements in manufacturing and product design have resulted in the highest quality silica refractory available. MINRO–SIL is available in a variety of formulations including:

  • MINRO-SIL 1001 – The original refractory since 1961 for  iron melting coreless induction furnaces.
  • MINRO-SIL LD – The benchmark for low dust silica refractory technology.
  • MINRO-SIL 2001® – Optimized grain size distribution  provides unsurpassed performance and reliability. Low dust version also available.

DRI-VIBE®

Highest quality, moisture free refractory with value enhanced technology. Silica and alumina based compositions are available utilizing  chrome oxide, fused silica and zircon additions for most types of induction furnace applications. DRI-VIBE is also available with patented fiber reinforced technology to increase mechanical toughness and improved thermal cycling.

  • DRI-VIBE® LGS – Silica based product used for lining large coreless induction furnaces.
  • DRI-VIBE® 461S / 462S – Enhanced silica based products for lining coreless induction furnaces in iron melting applications.
  • DRI-VIBE® 799A – Andalusite based product for high production iron melting.

Many high strength compositions are available utilizing alumina, fused silica and zircon-based aggregates for most types of induction furnace applications. DRI-VIBE is also available with patented fiber reinforced technology to increase mechanical toughness and improve thermal cycling.

Grout

Refractory cements with excellent strength and troweling properties utilized for coating the interior surface of induction coils. Grouts are offered with non-metallic micro-toughening fibers for crack resistance.

New RED color now available for additional coil protection during lining demolition.
